We now offer a docent program for those looking to volunteer at the park!

What is a docent? A docent is someone who can volunteer at least 3 hours of their time every week to come to Lēʻahi and help our interpretive team take care of the park, educate our visitors, and work on cool projects with our staff. There are a variety of tasks that a docent can sign up for. Docents will be trained in the history of the crater and commonly asked questions from visitors. If you would like to learn about plants, history, or any other topics, please let us know!

Schedule: Ongoing; this is a long term commitment. Please be willing to donate at least 3 hours a week to volunteer
